How Does Hypothyroidism Affect The Body? Causes, Symptoms & Treatment in Homeopathic

Symptoms of Thyroid Problems in Females?

Hypothyroidism is the condition in which there is deficiency of thyroid hormones in the body. Hypo means under or below or less. Thyroid   hormones play a vital role in metabolism, of Brain, heart, liver and reproductive health and fertility.

There are two types of hypothyroidism:

  • Primary hypothyroidism– when your thyroid gland become diseased and cannot produce sufficient hormones
  • Secondary hypothyroidism-when your pituitary gland is not stimulating your thyroid to produce enough hormones

Regulation of Thyroid Gland:

The thyroid gland is regulated by the pituitary gland. When the levels of the thyroid hormones T3 and T4 fall, the pituitary gland increases the production of Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH). This TSH then stimulates the thyroid gland to produce more T3 and T4. This way the balance of thyroid hormones is maintained in the body.

  • Iodine low in diet
  • Autoimmune disease- Hashimoto’s   thyroiditis- when your body produces antibodies that  attack  your own tissues
  • Treatment for hyperthyroidism
  • Thyroid surgery
  • Radiation therapy for cancers
  • Pituitary disorder
  • Pregnancy-
  • Viral infections or other respiratory problems
  • Congenital hypothyroid condition
  • Certain drugs-Some medicines having lithium used for psychiatric problems, medicines used for hyperthyroidism, heart problems cause hypothyroidism

Hypothyroidism develops gradually and slows down your metabolism

A Successful Case Study of Autism and Vaccination – Dr. A M Reddy

Autism and Vaccination A Case Study:

The role of vaccination and the development of autism in children has been quite controversial.  While the advocates of vaccinations claim that vaccination has no link in the development of autism and blame it more on genetics the nay sayers claim otherwise. In all these parents are caught in a dilemma to get their child vaccinated or not.  No doubt vaccines have played an important role in protecting children from many killer diseases like smallpox, polio, diphtheria etc, and helped to improve the overall immunity of the society but in some sensitive children, the same vaccines have created ill-effects. As the number of vaccines a child is receiving is increased, so is the incidence of autism among children. Though the exact cause for Autism is not known many factors have been suspected, primary among them being genetics and environmental factors. In some children, parents complain of severe regression of speech or speech delay, behavioural abnormalities, oversensitiveness to stimulus, social withdrawal or communication impairment have been noticed especially after MMR vaccine and the certain type of flu shots. It is suspected that Thimerosal, mercury-based adjuvant added to vaccines could affect the neurological system, though now-a day’s Thimerosal is avoided in vaccines. Homeopathically it is believed that in a few sensitive children having the predisposition, the vaccination seems to trigger their immune system in the adverse way leading to autism or other complications. It does not mean all vaccines are bad or all children suffer ill effects of vaccination, but certainly, the number of vaccines the child is being subjected to within first one year is certainly a cause for concern.

A Case study:

Five years old Pearl* was the first child of her parents. She was born by C- section and after birth, everything appeared to be normal. Pearl was growing fine except for some cold and cough once in three months. She was very active and could recognize alphabets, , and numbers, and use to babble few rhymes. She enjoyed the company and was usually very cheerful but as she was nearing two years parents observed that there was a sudden regression in speech and she was not responding to call. There were other behaviour abnormalities noticed like she became very restless, was frequently throwing tantrums and banging her head. Doctors diagnosed her condition to be moderate autism to their shock. They started therapies, gluten, and casein free diet and medications but the improvement was not much. She would not sleep in the night and doctors advised them mild sedatives. Parents were much depressed seeing their daughter’s condition.

Best Homeopathy Treatment for Autism:

On the recommendation of their friends, they visited Dr. A M Reddy for treating their daughter. A detailed case study as per homeopathy was taken in which history of vaccination with Hepatitis A and MMR given just prior to regression of speech and behavioural abnormalities was elicited. Basing this as cause for triggering autism in the child and the child’s desires, behaviour patterns a dose of Zincum Ars 10 M was given and was asked to come after fifteen days. In the subsequent visit when she came into the doctor’s chamber she was calm in contrast to her first visit when she created havoc in the room by throwing things around, pulling chairs and trying to hit the staff. She sat calmly in her mother’s lap observing her surroundings. Her sleep improved and she could sleep for few hours without sedatives, though head banging and excitability was still present. She was on a regular follow up on a monthly basis and there was steady improvement in the girl except for one episode of increased hyperactivity and head banging when Zincum Ars was again repeated. After 10 months of treatment parents were advised to start speech therapy to her, and at about one year of treatment she started speaking few words, her response to simple commands and social interaction improved.

A case of PCOD Successfully treated with Homeopathy

Successful Treatment of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOD)!

A young unmarried Muslim woman (Pt.id 4147) of twenty two year age approached the clinic for Bilateral PCOD treatment.  She was of a wheatish complexion, slim and tall and while she was narrating her symptoms it could be observed that she was very anxious and her speech was hurried. She told us about herself.

“I was the only daughter amidst three brothers to her parents, very much attached to my father. My childhood was happy; I was highly competitive and always wanted to stand first in the class. I used to feel pangs of jealousy if any of my classmates fared better than me. I was ambitious and wanted to study for engineering. Things changed when my father expired all of a sudden. Due to financial reasons, I had to discontinue my studies. My married two brothers were busy with their own families and the other brother had not yet completed his studies. I learnt tailoring and started supporting my family by undertaking tailoring jobs. My third brother after completing his studies picked up a job and got married but unfortunately, his wife turned out to be a shrew. She would not do any household work and use to pick quarrels with my mother and me. Things turned ugly and she accused us of harassing her for dowry and complained in Police station. It was a very humiliating experience, after this incident , we started living separately. Even now I harbor hatred for her. I want to be successful in life, now since I have learnt tailoring, I want to open my own boutique. My mother wants to get me married but I would marry as per my choice. Right now I want my menstrual cycle to be regularized. I had menarche by twelve years of age. My cycle was regular and I had no discomfort. I have noticed my cycle altered after my father’s death and now have become irregular. I had consulted a gynecologist who got my scan and blood test done and diagnosed that I am suffering from PCOD because of which I may have difficulty in having children. I got scared hearing that. I remembered my friend stating that she had taken homeopathy treatment for menstrual problems. After talking with her I thought to approach you’ll.”

Homeopathy Treatment For PCOD/PCOS:

After she completed narrating her story, few more questions were asked regarding her menstrual cycles we focused also on her physical generals. She had a good appetite, thirst moderate, and desires sweets, sleep normal, not many dreams in sleep. She could not withstand cold. While she was talking we noticed that there was profuse perspiration in her palms and when enquired she confirmed it and stated that whenever she is anxious she perspires at palms and soles. Her last period was three months ago. After careful repertorization she was given a dose of Ignatia 200 and she was asked to come after fifteen days. When she came back for the second visit she reported that her menses appeared and that day was the second day but the bleeding was scanty. It was decided not to disturb the action of Ignatia and placebo was give for the ext fifteen days. She was on regular visits and Ignatia was repeated twice over a period of six months, by this time she started getting periods every month between twenty eight to thirty five days. Slowly flow also increased and she was happy. A repeat scan showed that right side ovarian cyst. Treatment was continued for some more months and a third scan was ordered and this time scan report was normal.

Best Homeopathy Doctors For PCOD:

Meanwhile, her marriage was fixed, she was very apprehensive if she would be able to conceive or not. It was assured to her that she can get married and she would be able to conceive normally. She got married after one year of treatment and the very first month of her marriage she had delayed periods. Her pregnancy test was negative and she was disappointed and her doubts of conceiving again. She was counseled and sent back with one dose of Ignatia 1M was given. She came back after a month and reported that she missed her periods again and was apprehensive if PCOD had relapsed. We asked her to be patient and get her pregnancy test done, if needed her case would be again reviewed. Next day evening her husband gave a call stating Blood test for pregnancy was positive and there were going to a gynecologist for confirmation. After two days she came with her husband to our clinic carrying sweets as her pregnancy was confirmed.

What are the first signs of PCOS/PCOD?

Is PCOD and PCOS same? Dr. Positive Homeopathy!

Women play an important role in the family, she is a mother, daughter, sister, wife, sister.  She is the god’s creation most beautiful creation. It is said that God created Man but as he could not be everywhere he created woman. But women health issues are most often neglected mostly due to the woman herself who feels her illness or discomfort is not of major concern, secondly due to lack of understanding of female problems. Though most of the disorders affect men and women equally, there are certain disorders which affect the only woman, these include

Menstrual disorders:  like

  • Dysmenorrhoea or Painful menses-one of the most common woman disorder affecting almost 20-90% of women, especially young women between ages of 18- 24 years and may ease as she becomes older or gets married and have children.

Menstruation or menstrual cycle usually starts between the age of ten to fifteen years (menarche) and ceases when the woman attains forty-five to fifty years (menopause). Between menarche and menopause, the periods usually occur regularly every twenty-eight days and lasts for three to seven days. The periodic monthly cycles may take few months to set right after menarche in some and cycles may be irregular just before menopause. The regularity of the cycle and menstrual flow is maintained by few hormones chief among them being Pituitary hormones like Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and Luteinizing hormone (LH), the Progesterone and Oestrogen secreted by Corpus Luteum of the ovary and Prostaglandins from the uterus. Besides these hormones emotional disturbances, stress, smoking etc. also play a role in dysmenorrhoea.

Homeopathy Treatment For PCOD:

Though in many women dysmenorrhoea is only physiological and may ease by taking rest or mild analgesics in some it may be a sign of the serious pathological condition. Depending on the underlying factors for dysmenorrhoea it may be classified into:

  • Primary – when there are painful menstrual cycles without any underlying cause. The main reason for dysmenorrhoea is due to excess production of Prostaglandin hormones by the uterine lining and the pain may be spasmodic in nature with or without discharge of clots.
  • Secondary- where there is usually an underlying cause like Endometriosis, Adenomyosis, Uterine fibroids, Pelvic inflammatory diseases, Intrauterine devices like Copper-T, etc. The pain may begin at least 2-3 days prior to the onset of menstrual flow and may ease when the flow sets in. Bleeding may or may not be heavy depending on the underlying cause.
  • Symptoms: The pain and discomfort may vary in intensity among women with some reporting that intensity of pain is so high that the very thought of an approaching monthly cycle frightens them. Some complaint of concomitant symptoms like lower back pain, headache, nausea, vomiting, and body or feet swelling; along with fatigue, irritability or depression. These symptoms may start a few days before menses (Premenstrual syndrome) in some women. Depending on the time of onset, intensity, and flow it may be classified into
  • Congestive– Pain is usually dull, deep in nature and begins three to seven days prior to menses and relieved by the appearance of flow
  • Spasmodic-Pain is intermittent, starts at the onset of menses and lasts for the first two to three days of menses.
  • Membranous- in which along with the menstrual flow pieces of the endometrium is also shed
  • Treatment– Symptoms of dysmenorrhoea can be alleviated by taking –
  • Proper and balanced diet
  • Reducing salt intake
  • Reducing weight (if obese)
  • Drinking adequate water
  • Exercises and Yoga
  • Reducing stress

In those with severe pain or dysmenorrhoea caused due to underlying cause need medical intervention.

  • Homeopathy treatment is one of the safest and surest modes of treatment and many have benefitted from it. It’s constitutional approach not only helps to reduce the symptoms but also goes to the roots to cure the cause of it and saved many from the surgical knife.
  • Menorrhagia or abnormally heavy menstrual bleeding-

It is a condition in which there is heavy menstrual bleeding. Bleeding is considered as heavy if menstrual flow lasts for more than a week, if there is passing of large menstrual clots, needs to change pad or tampon frequently including nights and symptoms of anemia like fatigue, shortness of breath sets in.

Causes for abnormal uterine bleeding is unknown in many cases but in some underlying cause behind the bleeding can be identified.  In those where the cause can be identified the primary reasons were found to be:

  • The hormonal imbalance between Progesterone and Oestrogen, the two main female hormones. It can occur due to any reason including Polycystic Ovarian disease (PCOD), obesity, thyroid problems, anovulatory cycles, Diabetes, etc…
  • Fibroids– or benign tumors present within the walls of the uterus is one of the major cause of heavy bleeding in women of reproductive age.
  • Endometriosis and Adenomyosis– a condition where the endometrium, the uterine lining which is usually shed during the monthly cycle, grows abnormally in a different location like colon, rectum, etc. and in some cases, it may protrude into the muscular walls of the uterus (Adenomyosis) causing abnormal and heavy bleeding.
  • Endometrial polyp- small, benign growth in the uterine lining
  • Intrauterine devices like Copper-T
  • Miscarriages or abortions
  • Carcinoma of uterus, ovary or cervix
  • Bleeding disorders like Thrombocytopenia, Von Willebrand’s disease.
  • Treatment– It is necessary to evaluate a patient with Menorrhagia to rule out any pathological cause for the same with the help of Ultrasound, hysteroscopy, PAP smear, biopsy, Dilatation and Curettage, Blood tests etc,. Depending on the cause conventional treatment includes medications like Oral pills to surgical intervention besides supplements like iron supplement in case of any anemia due to excessive loss of blood.
  • Homeopathy with its constitutional approach dwells not only into the symptoms but goes depth of the disease to remove the cause of it. The medications are based on the patient’s emotional, psychological and physical makeup. The medications though small in size go to the root of the disease and help to control the symptoms and cure it without any undesired side effects.
  • Metrorrhagia or intermittent bleeding-

It is a condition when there is abnormal uterine bleeding in between the periods. Usually, women with regular menstrual cycle have their periods between twenty-one to thirty-five days with average being every twenty-eight days with the flow lasting for three to seven days. Every month uterus prepares itself for pregnancy and in case it does not occur the prepared endometrial lining is shed out with the help of prostaglandin hormone. But in women suffering from Metrorrhagia they may have spotting or slightly heavier bleeding in between their periods.

Causes for metrorrhagia:

  • Hormonal imbalance
  • Anovulatory cycles (when ovulation does not occur)
  • Endometrial polyps or fibroids
  • Carcinoma of uterus or cervix
  • Endometriosis
  • Few infections of genital tract like genital warts etc.
  • Chronic disorders like Thyroid, diabetes
  • Intra uterine devices
  • Certain medications like blood thinners
  • Ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage
  • Injury
  • Treatment– It is necessary to evaluate a patient with Metrorrhagia to rule out any pathological cause for the same with the help of pelvic examination, Ultrasound, PAP smear, biopsy, Blood tests etc. Depending on the cause conventional treatment includes medications like Oral pills to surgical intervention.
  • Irregular Menstrual cycle

Generally, a girl reaches pubertal age between ten to fifteen years of age. After the first menstruation, it may take about one to two years for the periods to be regularized. A regular menstrual cycle is about twenty-eight days with a range from twenty-one to thirty-five days and flow lasts for 3 to 7 days. This cycle continues till it is interrupted by either pregnancy or menopause (permanent stoppage of menses). Menstrual cycle is considered irregular when there is variation in this cycle either it is before twenty-one days or beyond thirty-five days or if there is a change in the pattern of bleeding.

  • Causes– The primary cause for irregular bleeding could be
  • Hormonal imbalance- menstrual cycle depends on primarily oestrogen and progesterone hormones secreted by the ovary. Any imbalance in these hormones can cause irregular bleeding
  • Endocrine problems like Thyroid dysfunction
  • Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)
  • Endometriosis
  • Pelvic inflammatory disease
  • Stress
  • Medications like Oral pills
  • Intrauterine devices
  • Pregnancy and lactation
  • Uterine fibroids
  • Treatment– It is necessary to evaluate a patient with irregular periods to rule out any pathological cause for the same with the help of hormonal tests, pelvic examination, Ultrasound, PAP smear, biopsy, Blood tests etc. Depending on the cause conventional treatment includes medications like Oral pills to surgical intervention.

What is PCOD/PCOS? Causes, Symptoms and Treatment ! Is Pcod curable?

What is Pcod disease in the female? Homeopathic Treatment For PCOD

It was late in the evening and we were nearing the closing time of our clinic. It had been a busy day and I was exhausted. As I was winding up the last case, the front office executive came hesitatingly and informed Ma’am, just now a lady with her daughter came in and could I attend to her. I enquired if she informed them it was closing time, she replied in affirmative and added the lady was so distraught and insistent in meeting the doctor that she thought of informing. I asked her to send them in.

A middle-aged woman entered the chamber with a teenager. As they came in the lady lamented that doctor my daughter’s life is ruined, after calming her down I enquired to state what happened, the lady replied that my daughter has been diagnosed with PCOD and I believe that if you have PCOD then you cannot have children. I glanced at the girl; she was about an eighteen-year-old young girl, fair with big round eyes, curly hair, and facial hair slightly visible. After calming down the mother, I scheduled an appointment for next day and reassured her that Homeopathy can definitely help her daughter. As I was traveling back to my house, my thoughts went back to the young girl. It was the sixth case of PCOD from that morning and come to think of it out of every ten female patients I attend invariably at least three to four of them suffer from PCOD and with growing ambition and competition the incidence of PCOD also seems to be rising in the young women.

What is PCOD?

The women reproductive organs consist of a pair of egg releasing organ called ovaries connected to the uterus (womb) by two tubes known as fallopian tubes. Generally in women of reproductive age every month an ovary develops one egg in a fluid-filled sac called follicle and nurtures it until mature and then releases it by rupturing the follicle. The ovary not only helps to produce eggs, but it also secretes few hormones like oestrogen, progesterone (Primary female hormones) and a small amount of male hormone Androgen. Due to an imbalance in these hormones the ovary gets dotted with many immature follicles giving it a “string of pearl” appearance with the absence of ovulation. The increased amount of male hormone causes undesirable changes in the body like the development of mustache, beard and body hair. The hormonal imbalances can also cause acne, hair fall, obesity, irregular menstrual cycles, infertility, and insulin resistance.

What causes PCOD?

Though the exact cause for PCOD is not known few factors which have been suspected are:

  • Hormones- Hormonal imbalance is thought to be one of the major cause. As stated above if due to any reason the balance between progesterone, oestrogen and androgen is disturbed if the due to any reason then it not affects ovulation but it also leads to other undesirable effects.

The role of Insulin in PCOD is not completely understood but insulin resistance is found to be associated with PCOD. Insulin hormone which helps in carbohydrate metabolism also helps in stimulating secretion of male hormone; hence higher insulin level would mean higher levels of androgens leading to PCOD.

  • Genetics– It has been found that the incidence of PCOD is higher in women having the positive family history.
  • Obesity-can lead to hormonal imbalance causing PCOD
  • Stress– It has been noted that PCOD is more common in women who are in chronic stress due to any reason. The stress could be study related, job-related, household affairs. Or any other. Whenever our body is under stress, The Pituitary gland which controls other endocrine glands stimulates Adrenal glands to release their hormones which include Adrenal Androgens besides other cortical hormones. The increased level of this Androgens leads to hormonal imbalance causing PCOD.
  • Lifestyle– With more and more women opting for a career, the stress associated with it along with disturbed sleep pattern due to shifts, irregular diet, fast foods are also found to be linked with growing incidence of PCOS.
  • Other reasons include sedentary habits, poor diet, other hormonal problems like hypothyroidism

What are the Signs and Symptoms?

Signs and Symptoms of PCOD includes-

  • Irregular menstrual cycles- either too early or too late maybe one of the early sign of PCOD
  • Scanty or heavy menstrual flow is another feature of PCOD. The color of the flow may also be initially brownish or blackish indicating Chocolate cyst
  • Severe Dysmenorrhoea (Painful menses) or abdominal cramps. Pain in the ovarian region may be present in a few women.
  • Infertility- PCOD has been found to be associated with infertility due to non-release of egg
  • Weight gain, acne, hair fall and the development of unwanted hair (Hirsutism) are other symptoms of PCOD
  • Some may have darkening and thickening of the skin in patches especially behind the neck, arm pits a condition known as Acanthosis Nigricans.

How is PCOS diagnosed?

PCOD/PCOS is diagnosed with the help of ultrasound scanning, pelvic examination by gynecologist, blood tests for hormonal levels.

What is the treatment for PCOD?

There is no permanent treatment for PCOD. Treatment is based on the symptoms to alleviate it and life style modifications.  Treatment includes oral pills to regulate menstrual cycle for those suffering from it, diabetic medications like metformin to combat insulin resistance, anti oestrogen drugs like clomphiphane, laser or electrolysis removal of unwanted hair. Surgical intervention by laparoscopic ovarian drilling or partial ovarian resection may be performed in extreme cases.

Lifestyle modifications like reducing weight by having a properly balanced diet, exercise, avoiding fast foods and carbonated drinks, regular sleep pattern and maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.

Homeopathy treatment with its constitutional approach dwells not only into the symptoms but goes depth of the disease to remove the cause of it. The medications are based on the patient’s emotional, psychological and physical makeup. By doing so it not only helps to control the external signs like unwanted hair growth, acne etc, it also helps to correct the hormonal imbalance thereby regulating ovulation, thus not only helping in control of the symptoms but also provide the cure without any undesired side effects.

What is Autism? How do You teach an Autistic child to talk?

Are there any treatments for Autism? Homeopathy Treatment For Autism!

Would my child ever call me ‘Mamma’? Cried Mrs. Paul*. John** was more than 3 1/2 years old and was the only child to his parents. When he was born five years after married life the parent’s happiness knows no bounds. John was delivered by C-section and apparently, everything was normal until John was 18 months old when it became obvious that he was not like any other kid. The usual social response to calls was absent; there was no eye contact and whatever few words he was babbling earlier also stopped. When John was diagnosed to be Autistic by the pediatricians, the world around them seems to have collapsed. Parents consulted many doctors; put him through various therapies and diet but they did not get any sustainable result. Finally, they visited our clinic after watching Dr. A M Reddy’s video talk on Autism and Homeopathy as the last hope. They had many questions in their mind, would homeopathy work when other systems seemingly failed. Here it is important to understand how homeopathy system works.

Homeopathy Treatment For Autism!

Homeopathy is a comparatively young system which believes that no two individuals are alike. Its medications are selected by careful individualization based on a person’s mental, emotional, physical symptoms including desires, sleep pattern, family history, birth history, vaccination history, reactions to any external stimulus like sound, music, light etc. and careful observation of body language of the patient. A complete case history on homeopathy pattern was taken and Calcarea Phos 10 M was prescribed. Calcarea Phos was selected based on the child’s desire for eggs and salt, history of frequent colds and cough, head sweat and physical structure and was asked to come after 15 days. When they visited the clinic after fifteen days, they reported that there was not much change in his behavior though now appetite seems to have improved and the bowels became more regular. As physically there was some improvement medication was not changed and now was asked to come after one month.

Best Homeopathy Doctors For Autism in Hyderabad!

Next visit when they came, mother complained that John seems to have become more mischievous though they were happy that he sees to be babbling few words. From then on they were on the regular visit every month to the clinic and we could assess the change in John. His speech became clearer, eye contact improved and sitting tolerance was developed. After six months of treatment, it was advised to admit John in a school. It is now more than a year since the treatment started and changes noticed in him are remarkable. He now addresses his parents, he is sitting calmly in the school, eye contact improved and he is now responding to simple questions though he does occasionally show excitement and sometimes appear to be lost in his own world. John continues to be in our treatment to sustain the development shown by him. Here it is important to remember that the response to treatment varies from individual to individual, while some kid’s response is very quick in some it may take months to bring about some change, but on the whole, it is noted that early the intervention better is the result.
Now let us discuss what Autism is and how to recognize the early signs and symptoms of autism and how homeopathy can help.

What is Autism?

Autism is a developmental disorder affecting the child’s social and communicative skills along with restricted and repetitive behaviour. The symptoms can range from mild to severe form and to cover this wide range of symptoms the word “spectrum” has been added to it and is now known as Autism spectrum disorder or pervasive developmental disorder. Though the first signs of autism may begin as early as six months of age the signs and symptoms are usually noticed by the parents when the child is two to three years of age and boys seem to be more affected than girls.

Unfortunately, the exact cause for Autism is not known but several risk factors have been identified. Among them, the primary reason could be genetic. It has been observed in many studies that genes play a strong role in developing Autism. Fragile X syndrome and other chromosomal abnormalities, Down syndrome have been found associated with Autism.

Besides genetic factor mother’s health during pregnancy like the age of the mother, thyroid, gestational diabetes, exposure to certain infections and drugs, emotional stress, smoking, drinking are also considered as risk factors.

Nature of child’s birth like delayed labor, aspiration of amniotic fluid or meconium by the neonate, premature birth, birth injuries, delayed birth cry also play a role in developing autism. Besides these factors they are other factors like vaccination, certain allergies like gluten and milk allergies, leaky gut syndrome, coeliac disorders, seizures etc. are also been found to be associated with autism.

What are the signs and symptoms of Autism?

Most often parents notice something is wrong with their child as he/she is about 2 to 3 years old. Most often the first thing they notice is the child’s lack of responsive behaviour and poor social interaction along with speech delay in many cases. In many cases, parents may notice a sudden regression inability of speech. The child most often likes to be alone and appears engrossed in their world, act unnaturally stubborn and show behavioural abnormalities like sudden excitements, flapping of hands, jumping, walking on toes, appear fixated with few items only like wheels, a particular toy etc. Socially also they lack eye contact and do not respond to their name call and are unable to relate with their peer group.
